Jiāng Lì
Jiāng Lì 姜儷 graduated from Lánzhōu University in 1994. Since then, she has taught English at Shāndōng University. Her research in language combines classroom inspirations and an abiding interest in the uniqueness of languages as they are, together with years of fieldwork in northwestern China, where languages mingle in layers yet to be described. For the Himalayan Languages Project, Jiāng Lì is working on a comprehensive description of the Guìqióng language.
Jiāng Lì’s previous research includes a series of short articles on English grammatical teaching to Chinese learners, a collection of literary criticism on a couple of her favourite Chinese and foreign writers and an ongoing description of Donggan Phonology and Grammar.
