Long-Distance Maritime Contacts

The Himalayan Languages Project participates in the SEALINKS project, a multidiscipinary collaboration involving specialists in linguistics, palaeobotany, archaeology, genetics and anthropology in an endeavour to understand and reconstruct episodes of prehistoric maritime contacts across the Indian Ocean and around the Indian Ocean rim.
